You can use MetaTrader to actually execute your trades if you desire.
Some brokers only support MT4 / MT5, and in that case, you will NOT use the charting part of MetaTraderr – you will use NinjaTrader with the Logical Forex Indicators to see your charts… and then you will execute your trades by clicking "buy" and "sell" in your MetaTrader platform.
NinjaTrader is trivial to "learn" – because all we are doing is installing Logical Forex and observing the chart. So, you can continue to use the platform you are familiar with to execute your trades.
The reason we do not use MetaTrader as our charting platform is that it doesn’t have enough "horsepower" to do what we need with Logical Forex. In other words, you simply cannot get a valid understanding of what the market is doing from a MetaTrader platform. Logical Forex exposes all of these Decision Points in the market, and shows them clearly to you in the NinjaTrader charting platform, and all you have to do is "click in and out" using your regular broker.
Now, most MetaTrader-based brokers are Market Makers. This puts you at a disadvantage. We recommend that you use an ECN/STP (or DMA broker). And, yes, these things are covered in other FAQs and in the Quick Start Training Videos, and extensively in the Premium Videos.
The bottom line is… there isn’t anything much for you to learn about NinjaTrader since all we are doing is observing the charts, and the installation process just takes several clicks and is quite simple, too.
