If you want to trade directly through NinjaTrader, you’ll need to pay a fee, and your broker must be available through the NinjaTrader Platform.
Alternatively, there are certain "adpaters" that may allow you to do this, but we don’t recommend any at this time. (But, we are considering developing one for those who like to trade through NinjaTrader, but this is not a high priority item for us).
The biggest reason we don’t trade directly through NinjaTrader is that their existing broker list for Forex is just not suitable for the Logical Forex style of trading. Put simply…the spread is far to wide on their current broker list.
In addition, I simply do NOT want to have "another layer of software" between me and my broker. I want to "click the button" and have my trade instantly execute direcly through my broker platform, and not through NinjaTrader first.
If you feel you must trade directly and only in the NinjaTrader environment, then maybe the best alternative may be Interactive Brokers. They have decent spreads, but, they can be a bit expensive on commissions.
We recommend that you find a broker that has a low pip spread, limited slippage (fast execution), minimal trade costs and commissions, and several other criteria. Other FAQs address this… and you’ll find a link to our specific list of preferred brokers in your Windows "Start" Menu after you have installed. If you want to know this list before you install, open a support ticket.
For serious traders, you need to use an ECN/STP broker.
