Did You Scalp The Big EUR/USD moves?

The Monday New York Session (all day) had some rather large moves. Some were easy to trade, and some weren’t.

During the Monday Asian Session opening (usually after 6-7pm US Central for best moves), the were some decent setups.

As I’ve mentioned before, I don’t post all of my trades. There simply isn’t time to do that. Preparing the images, uploading them to the blog, commenting on them, etc., all takes time away from my trading. I prefer trading. :-)

And, you’ve probably also noticed that many of the trades I post here…I “hold them” for a while. MOST of the time, I am VERY quickly in-and-out of each trade…usually for 3-4 pips with large lot sizes. It’s simply the LEAST stressful, highest probability and low risk trades that are available. I just don’t experience much emotion at all for these quick in-and-out trades. For the trades that I “hold” for a while, even briefly…well…they can generate a form of stress that I just don’t prefer. And, that’s even more challenging (keeping the stress level low) doing more aggressive trades. Remember, too, though, all of us are different and have different styles and preferences…so just because I take a trade doesn’t mean that you would, and just because you might take a trade doesn’t meant that I should, too. Quite simply, we have to find what works best for us (and that’s where I work carefully with people in my Private One-on-One Forex Trading Workshops learn what works best for them).

And, again, I want to mention that normally, you’re not seeing all of the different trades that I take, simply because I don’t have time to capture the images and post them all.

I thought I would do something a little different with this post. :-)

I’m posingt a few more trade examples (actually a LOT more trade examples than usual), each with slightly different setups for different trading styles. Some of them will stray from what you have seen here most recently. But, I want you to be able to see that there are a number of different ways you can trade Logical Forex. There IS a way that will work for you, and I can help you discover it, and implement it, and make it a consistent process for you.

I am posting EUR/USD trades. However, the EUR/JPY was also moving nicely. Both pairs were giving some decent signals…and both behaved much like they always do…with the EUR/JPY making nice moves with occasional “giant spikes”, and the EUR/USD moving a bit more smoothly, but “plodding along” more than the rapid moves of the EUR/JPY.

So, I’m not going to comment much on these trades. If you have experienced a Private One-on-One Workshop with me, then you will see a number of things we discussed. Don’t let these examples confuse you or take you off-track from what is working for you, and what we determined would work best for you “in the long run”. In fact, you will likely see some trades that make you say, “Hey…that’s not what he said to do.” Exactly. Don’t do those kinds of trades. You WILL know the difference. Some trades you see will be “right” for you, and some won’t. Do the ones that are. :-)

Be sure to look for those things we’ve discussed…those little tips and tricks and trading techniques that only a select few (like you) know about. And, keep having fun!

As usual, be sure to click on the chart images if you want a larger view of the chart.

Quick in-and-out. Workshop clients…see why? It is actually fairly aggressive, but still a workable trade. If this isn’t your “preferred style”, look away. :-)

Here is a Logical Forex Flow Flip…the markets are opening and price is moving fast. Seen this before in any of my other posts?

I didn’t need any other reason that price losing it’s momentum and stalling a bit to tell me to get out. I really like these kinds of trades.

This is a WAY more aggressive trade than I normally take, but I was willing to try it…ready to bail out quickly if necessary. It wasn’t.

How did I know to hold on here a little longer for a few more pips? I didn’t “know for sure”. However, my experience trading this currency pair made more comfortable holding on for a few more pips (a very small amount of time), and when several of the Logical Forex Indicators gave me (big) hints to exit, I did. I traded this one with a smaller lot size than the previous two trades.

If you are a hyper aggressive trader, and will “take almost any trade that moves”, this one is for you. :-) It’s not normally for me. Whew! Far too much adreneline rush. I like lower stress trades. But, again, this is a valid trade setup for traders who prefer to click a lot. :-)

It may be difficult to see, but I’m buying here. Keep your eyes on the right side of the chart. :-)

This is still fairly aggressive, but there are much stronger indications that it’s more like a Flow Flip. The “gray arrow” that NinjaTrader plops on the right side of ┬áchart obscures my entry a bit, but I’m sure you can see that price is moving swiftly…and I’m ready to bail out, too.

This is a great example of my taking 3-4 pips profit, and getting out without hesitation. I like CERTAIN profit. :-) I think price continued up, but I don’t care. I got my profit…and there is nothing to wonder about, or predict, or anything else at this point. I’m out…with profit.

There are several things going on here that just don’t show up well in this static chart image. If you have the Logical Forex Indicators, you can find this trade on your chart, and more clearly see the structure of the trade. If you don’t have the Logical Forex Indicators and are trading with candles or even a tick chart without this market structure, I weep for you. :-)

For those who have been in a 1-on-1 Workshop with me, zoom out, divide the chart, check the time, and, of course, your other Logical Forex Signals that all tell you this is a good setup…

Do you see anything common with any other charts I’ve put into this particular posting? Any other postings on other days?

Okay…I want to say this again…do NOT allow these to confuse you. There is SOMETHING here for YOU. You’ll know it when you see it. And, if ANY of these make you ponder or wonder or hesitate or attempt to predict, it’s likely not your style. Find an example SOMEWHERE on this blog or on the other charts or videos I’ve posted elsewhere on this site. There IS something that you WILL find makes sense to you. And then, it’s a matter of practice, experience, and perhaps getting a few additional tips from a long-time trader that will set you free from the frustations of the past, and move you toward a lot of fun trading and scalping forex!

The BEST way for you to improve your skills is by practicing, seeing good examples, and learning…and most importantly, having a true system that works consitently and profitably that works for YOU and YOUR needs and YOUR style. I’m here to help! (And, consider getting setup to be notified each time I post more trade examples to this blog. You can do that at the top right of this page in the little red-ish box.)

I think I have exhausted myself posting all of these trades. It has taken me well over an hour to do this. I could have been trading. :-)

In case you’re wondering…no, I rarely sleep. ;-)
